Lee James Maughan is a twenty-three year old Media Production graduate. He's graduated to making recordings of things in his room in Guisborough, England. Before Lee went to university, he filled his time recording things in his room and playing in local bands - he was a one-time member of such Teesside pop luminaries as Gerbil bob, Billy Got Fired, The Computer Wore Menacing Shoes and was in a band with a bunch of bastards (and John) called Days Till Jersey. Twelve years ago, Lee played up front for Guisborough Town FC. He likes stuff by DIY bands, 3 Count Wrestling and doing buckets of Malteasers. He owns the PC and microphone used to create Dogs In hats, Cats in Bomber Jackets. Lee is more of a baritone.
John Bernard Major is a twenty year old student at Liverpool University studying English Literature and Popular Music. This leaves him well-placed for a future career in laundry. He plays in several bands, and cut his teeth playing in Days Till Jersey. After several visits to the dentist, he embarked upon a journey joining lots of different bands until he finally settled once and for all on playing drums for The Rainbowphonic Experiment, Rook and The Ravens and Teesside’s Chris Duggan. He is also a DJ. John is a connoisseur of garlic breads, with or without cheese. He doesn’t like DIY bands as much as Lee, but appreciates the effort.
Together, they form a less than formidable recording partnership, expect to hear a lot less from them from now on. Until then, please abhor the present recorded output of Dogs In Hats, Cats In Bomber Jackets and give it the criticism it richly deserves.
